Delta TechOps Partnership

Central Georgia Technical College’s Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program has partnered with Delta Airlines Technical Operations (Delta TechOps) to train and identify a future pipeline of qualified aviation mechanics. Selected as a preferred training institution for airframe and power plant technicians, CGTC’s AMT program provides Delta TechOps with preferred access to highly-skilled mechanics. CGTC is one of 47 institutions nationwide to be selected for this partnership.

Through the Delta TechOps partnership, CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology students will receive:

  • Industry training from a major international air carrier
  • Access to serviceable parts, engines, and airframes
  • Tours of the Delta TechOps facilities
  • Career guidance and job shadow opportunities
  • Exposure for potential career opportunities

CGTC’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program is certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under 14 C.F.R. § Part 147 as an Aviation Maintenance Technician School (AMTS). The local Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) is located in Atlanta, GA. [Last certification approval: 2016]
