Earn academic credit through authentic Irish experiences. Learn in a global classroom that offers off-the-beaten-path experiences, perspectives, and culture. Together with Study Abroad Ireland, students will travel to County Donegal, where they will be immersed in the vast cultural history of Ireland and participate in guided tours through museums, castles, and
more.
The students will also take tours of unique, historical parts of Ireland around the country and ocean side landscapes, where they will learn to surf, ride horses, and discover caves.
Program Requirements:
Open to current high school students and those graduating in May 2023 enrolled in Dual Enrollment across the Technical College System of Georgia. Students must have successfully completed English 1101 (or equivalent) in order to register for Humanities 1101. Any student not currently enrolled with CGTC must apply for admission or transient status. Each student will enroll in HUMN 1101 Introduction to Humanities – 3 credit hours. Earned credits are transferrable to other 4-year institutions throughout Georgia.
Cost:
Course tuition will be covered for currently enrolled Dual Enrollment students. Standard tuition rates apply, and costs can be covered by Financial Aid for eligible graduating students.
This inclusive trip includes flight, in-country travel, admission to museums, accommodations, excursions, and most meals. The price for 2023 is being developed for 2023. The 2022 trip cost $2,900.
The listed price is only guaranteed for the first 20 students who enroll. *Airline costs may change closer to the departure date.

Travel, Health & Safety Requirements:
Students must have a valid U.S. passport, not expiring within 3 months of travel, in order to participate in any Global Initiatives Study Abroad program. Visit, the U.S. Passport Information to apply. *The State Department has experienced delays. Any student interested in traveling abroad should apply for a passport immediately, even if not deposited on a trip.
Students, faculty, and staff enrolled in any study abroad experience will adhere to any and all COVID-19 public health policies of our partners. The Office of Global Initiatives monitors the U.S. Department of State. At this time, our partners in Ireland DO require full vaccination against COVID-19. *Currently, this does not include booster shots, the office will monitor and provide information as needed.
